From the dusty towns of self determination and personification, Pilzy Lee was bitten by the venomous fangs of Beat! Her first encounter was with Audacity, cutting and mixing samples. This “virus” propelled her to dabble with Beat Cafe. But with great power comes the need for more power. Enter Fruityloops!! Her sound is considered dark and uneasy, “like melted wax on the eardrum. my music is an epic experience, a story that manifests in the crevices of a lost ancestry.” Pilzy Lee has no sound experience, “but what sounds good to me, feels good to my soul”. It is honest music, bang your head against the grain type music.
This sound is art, with a hip hop influence. She rates Immortal Technique as one of the greatest lyricists next to Hymphatic of course. As far as influences for her sound is concerned, ” talking, breathing,walking, thinking, sight, comprehension, fear, no light, things that go bump in the night” are all but a few of her inspiration for her sound. Pilzy Lee describes her music as; “This sound has no genre! This sound is a mutation of a thought! This sound is a unconscious rythm, a laid back civil war! An awakening of dreams!”
